How can I Prepare for the SSC CGL Exam in 3 Months?

As Staff Selection Commission has released its annual exam Calendar of 2018, many candidates queried about the preparation style so that they can able to prepare well for the examination. But for preparation of SSC CGL Examination, you must have detailed information about its syllabus pattern so that you can prepare accordingly. The SSC CGL examination comprised of four tiers which are as follows: -
Tier 1
It is online exam of 100 question with time limit of 75 Minutes. It questions format is as follow: -
  • Maths – 25 Question
  • Reasoning – 25 Questions
  • General Studies – 25 Questions
  • English – 25 Questions
After cracking tier 1, candidates will have to appear for tier 2 which comprised of 2 exams.
Tier 2
The 2 examinations of tier 2 are also online: -
  • Maths – 100 Questions of 200 Marks with 2 Hours’ time limit.
  • English – 200 Questions of 200 Marks with 2 Hours’ time limit
Tier 3
This tier judges the writing ability of the candidates. They have to write descriptive essays on given topic. The maximum marks are 100 with 60 minutes time limit.
Tier 4
The candidates who qualify the three tiers get the opportunity to face tier 4. It includes personality test aptitude and an interview with experts’ panel.
What is the preparation style for SSC CGL Examination 2018?
To get prepared well for SSC CGL Examination, one must go through whole syllabus and important topics within the time limit. If you want to prepare for SSC CGL Examination in 3 Months then he must follow following written instructions for syllabus coverage: -
  • Maths – Maths is a very critical topic of SSC CGL examination. Main focus of candidates should be on Trigonometry, Geometry, Algebra, & Mensuration(up to 10th Standard). After preparing these topics completely, the next topics should be Profit & Loss, Time & Distance etc. Learn entire formulas up-to 10th standard and always use tricks and shortcuts as they will help you in time saving.
  • English – the second syllabus topic which needs great attention of candidates is English. Vocabulary cannot be ignored otherwise you will suffer a lot in preliminary & main examination too. So, first you have to increase your vocabulary and then give attention to Grammar and Comprehensions as these are easy.
  • Reasoning – This section of syllabus is only for preliminary examination. You can consider previous years papers and know the pattern of it and after that consider same pattern questions from online sites or reference books.
  • General Science – It is a topic where nobody has exact idea what the examiner going to ask but yes, you must prepare science and social study up to 10th standard well and for currents affairs must read newspaper thoroughly daily.
