Mistakes to avoid while preparing for SSC CGL 2018

Staff Selection Commission conducts various government job exams such as SSC CGL, SSC CHSL, SSC MTS, etc, which are held on All India level.   1. The aspirants refer too many books for preparing GK. This creates mental chaos and lots of misunderstanding as all the material is common but is written in different style and pattern. As a result, it is advisable to follow one book and start learning from it.
  2. The aspirants try to attempt Practice Sets without setting time limit. In such cases, they are practicing without setting time limit and so they will not be able to understand the significance of time management. During the exam, this shortcoming will prove to be big spoilsport.
  3. Generally speaking, all aspirants get cold feet at the sight of a difficult question. This led to intense panicking and frightened mind is never competitive enough to answer complex questions. So, it is highly advisable to avoid complex subjects like Mathematics in the last week of your exam as it will create an unnecessary mental turmoil, if you are badly trapped in a complicated question.
  4. Due to high examination pressure or by sheer intimidation, the aspirants prefer to devote more time to Mathematics than other subjects. It is advisable to prepare your time table of studies in such a way that you can equally divide your time among all subjects.
  5. The aspirants should avoid practicing while doing exam preparation. There are mentally strenuous and challenging subjects like Mathematics which need lot of practice. So, it is advisable to take at least 50 questions on the topic you cover each day.
  6. In this highly technically bound social environment, the world of internet has dominated our lifestyle in a big way. But, still there are few technical glitches which are sometimes difficult to confront. It is important to download hall ticket in time. There are few candidates who prefer to download it in last moment. It is not good practice as there might be technical malfunctioning like server busy, corrupt software etc. So, download your hall ticket in time to avoid disenchantment.
  7. As discussed earlier, the social media and the world of internet is dominating in every sphere of life. The candidates should avoid social networking like WhatsApping, Facebooking, and Chatting It can be highly distracting and can be sheer waste of time. Do try to concentrate more on studies than on online friends. 
  8. There are few candidates who prefer reading at the last moment of the exam. This habit will create more fear in mind and will spoil your peace of mind. Before entering examination hall, feel free and confident and you will achieve your goal.
  9. To avoid hard work, there are few candidates who prefer to learn shortcuts without understanding the basics of the topics. This can be highly confusing as well as time wasting for them. It is advisable to consult subject experts to understand and learn short tricks or cuts.
